Einbeck, Germany has been Keene's partner city since 2002. Einbeck is a city in southern Lower Saxony, Germany, located in the district Northeim. Population 28,427 (2003).

With the local Schleicher and Schuell Company having headquarters in Dassel Germany, Einbeck was selected for its proximity to Dassel, its comparable size to Keene, and the connection with Schleicher and Schuell, which also has a division in Einbeck. Both Keene and Einbeck have exchanged delegations.

In July 2004, Einbeck teachers Dr. Elke Heege and Ingeborg Hutteg attended the weeklong residential Summer Institute of the Holocaust Studies at Keene State College. In 2005, Dr. Heege and Einbeck produced Kristallnacht In Einbeck, a movie shown at Keene's annual Kristallnacht Remembrance. This annual solemn remembrance is now held in both Einbeck and Keene.
