Academic Affairs Assessment Plan

Approved by VPAA and Deans Council (Jan 24, 2003)
Timeline
Fall 2004-Spring 2005:
- Assessment cycle continues.
VPAA will:
- Publicize college commitment and departmental/programmatic successes.
- Write NEASC report.
Deans will:
- Meet regularly with AAAAC to discuss progress of departments and evaluate requests for funding.
- Provide feedback to departments about revised outcomes and means of assessment; focus on departments facing program review.
- Keep departments involved in process; support common language about program assessment in conversation with chairs and departments.
Academic Affairs Assessment Advisory Committee will:
- Set up workshops with outside or internal consultants for departments during spring semester '03, fall semester '03.
- Post criteria for funding; review funding requests with deans.
- Maintain web page as faculty resource.
- Work with deans on evaluation of outcomes, means of assessment, etc.
