Excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship
Service to the community and civic engagement to support active learning and the common good
A strong sense of community on campus
Diversity on our campus and in our curricula
Civility and respect for diverse viewpoints and contributions to campus life.

Projects should improve the College academically or culturally, enhance its reputation, and/or improve the quality of life of its students. In evaluating applications, the Alumni Association Grants Committee considers projects that:
Are innovative and show promise of bringing new dimensions to the life of the college
Broadly benefit the College community rather than a small number of people
Assist a project or activity or to help with start-up costs
Include a funding plan beyond the life of the alumni grant for multi-year projects.
Required Elements
Alumni Association Grant applications must:
Clarify the need, the problem, the goals, and objectives of the project in terms of the campus community at large
Provide a detailed budget for the project showing an accurate description of how funds will be spent
(Students) Include a letter of support from their organization advisor
(Staff and Faculty) Supply a letter of support from the appropriate department head, Dean, or Vice President
