Florida 2008 Reunion Recap

Alumni and friends of Keene State College gathered at several events throughout the state, March 17–20, welcoming President Helen F. Giles-Gee, and Alumni Office staff, for annual KSC Alumni/Florida Reunion events.

Reunion week in Florida kicked off Monday, March 17 in Orlando with a happy hour event held at Bahama Breeze Restaurant on International Drive.

The President then traveled to Stuart, Florida for an afternoon lunch, Tuesday, March 18, at Pirate’s Cove Restaurant, hosted by Connie and Eugene Ross ’57.

The President greeted alumni and friends at an evening poolside reception in Boca Raton, Wednesday, March 19, hosted by Vincent Russell ’50. See photo.

Thursday, March 19 featured an afternoon lunch with hosts Barbara and Bill Brackett ’57 welcoming the president to Naples.

While the President traversed the east coast, staff from the Alumni Office were equally busy on the west coast. David Staples ’55 hosted a group of alumni and friends in Hernando, Tuesday, March 18 at the Citrus Hills Country Club.

On Wednesday, March 19, Alumni Office staff were welcomed to Ft. Myers by Cyndi ’57 and John ’58 Faust for an afternoon lunch.

Also on Wednesday, March 19, Henry “Hank” Maier ’75 hosted a private cocktail reception in his home in Sarasota.
