Duties of Students within this classification:

*Provide individual and small group tutoring for Keene State College students in a variety of courses, with the exceptions of English writing (including ITW) and Math (including IQL). The highest demand areas are Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology; however, it is anticipated that we will also need tutors for the following areas: Anthropology, Art History, Astronomy, Communication, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Economics, Environmental Studies, Film, French (300-400 level mastery required), Geography, Geology, Health Science, History, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Management (Introduction, Quantitative Decision Making, Financial & managerial Accounting), Philosophy (Logical Argumentation, Ethics), Physical Education (Kinesiology, Physiology of Exercise), Physics, Political Science, Safety Studies, Sociology, Spanish (300-400 level mastery required).

Applicants must have an overall GPA of 2.75 (3.0 preferred), an A or B in the course(s) s/he is applying to tutor for, and associated faculty recommendation(s) for the course(s).

Candidates must possess effective communication skills, a sincere desire to help, and a high degree of patience.

Tutors are required to attend a Tutor Orientation upon hiring, as well as Tutor Training Sessions throughout the academic year.
