Duties of Students within this classification: 1. Collect, sort and prepare materials for market, donation and sales. 2. Strong team player with problem solving skills and leadership abilities. 3. Enjoys the challenge of physically demanding work and has the ability to safely lift heavy recycling/compost containers with the help of co-workers. 4. Take ownership of their route. This includes making sure each location has containers, signs and that the recycling areas are clean (this includes trash, spills, pieces of paper and miscellaneous). 5. Preference given to students with a Driver's License; all drivers must have Defensive Driving certificate within the last 3 years and/or obtain Defensive driving training and certificate within six weeks of being hired. Defensive Driving classes offered on campus. Training will need to be repeated after 3 years of employment. 6. Maintain professional attitude when on the job and respect campus community at all times. 7. Able to follow directions, take initiative and is accountable for their actions. 8. Lead the Keene State campus in environmental issues by example. 9. Creates and fosters a safe and friendly work environment. 10. Lead the Keene State campus in environmental issues by example. 11. Keep ROCKS truck and shed clean, neat and organized. 12. Communicates well and is not afraid to ask questions. 13. Must attend monthly staff meetings and other trainings; will work at least 2-3 shifts during finals week. 14. Additional duties as required.
