Prospective Students
The below timeline provides an overview of the financial aid application process for prospective students. The FAFSA should be completed as soon as possible after January 1. If your or your parent’s taxes will not be completed before the March 1 deadline, the FAFSA can and should be completed and submitted using estimated tax information.

| November | Begin admissions application process. KSC uses the Common Application and KSC Supplement. |
| Access your WebAdvisor account. The WebAdvisor account provides the status of admissions and financial aid applications and related documents. | |
| December | Students & parents obtain a PIN number to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) electronically. |
| Review estimated EFC with FAFSA4caster. | |
| January | The FAFSA should be completed as soon as possible after January 1; well before the March 1 deadline. You can and should use estimated tax information if you’re filing taxes after March 1. |
| March | KSC’s priority filing deadline for the FAFSA is March 1. |
| April | First-year or transfer students who have applied for financial aid by the March 1st priority filing deadline may normally expect to receive their financial aid award notification by April 30. |
| May | Admissions deposits are due May 1. |
| Begin to estimate balance owed for upcoming year. | |
| June | Students with incomplete applications at this time are encouraged to secure alternative funding for the full fall balance. |
| Students with financial aid award letters are encouraged to begin securing alternative funding for their estimated outstanding academic year balance. | |
| July | Fall bills are posted online. |
| August | Fall bills are due on the 1st Friday in August. |
