Boston-based trumpeter and educator Fred Sienkiewicz enjoys a varied career performing classical solo, chamber, and orchestral music throughout New England. He can regularly be heard performing with professional orchestras and choral societies from Cape Cod to Manchester and holds the position of second trumpet with both the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Nova. Mr. Sienkiewicz is an active chamber musician, performing in concerts and ceremonies with groups such as Bala Brass and Epic Brass, and has been featured as guest soloist with the North Country Chamber Players, the Parkway Concert Orchestra, the Gordon College Wind Ensemble. As an educator, Mr. Sienkiewicz serves as adjunct trumpet professor at Gordon College, Plymouth State University, and Keene State College. He also directs the Keene State Brass Ensemble and is assistant director of the Boston University Concert Band.

A native of Western Massachusetts, Mr. Sienkiewicz earned his Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his Master of Music, with honors, from the New England Conservatory of Music. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University. Mr. Sienkiewicz's primary teachers include with Eric Berlin of the Boston Philharmonic, Charles Schlueter of the Boston Symphony, and international trumpet soloist Terry Everson. Additionally, he has studied interpretation with Boston legend Benjamin Zander.
