Class of 2009
Randy Booth can honestly say that his greatest experience and his greatest influence at Keene State College are one in the same - “The Equinox,” the student newspaper. “I learned something from everyone who came before me, whether it was a former executive editor or photo editor” Randy says. “Working on the newspaper for all four years gave me a taste of real world journalism. It hooked me for good.”
According to Randy, he wouldn’t have had nearly this success without Keene State. “From inside the classroom and inside “The Equinox” newsroom, I was prepared for anything,” he says. “I feel I was head and shoulders above the competition when I left Keene State because I had learned so much in four years. I’m still learning, but KSC gave me a fantastic foundation for success.”
Since graduating from Keene State, Randy has been involved in a wide range of journalism. In addition to being sports editor for the “The Citizen of Laconia,” Randy has written for various online outlets, including SBNation.com, one of the largest sports news websites in the world.
That foundation can be built in any area of study at Keene State. Randy says, “No matter what you’re looking for in a college education, Keene State offers it. And, if you’re lost in a sea of opportunities—like a lot of high school juniors and seniors—you will find your way with the help of the KSC community. It’s a safe bet.”
