Danielle Allen ’10, Nutrition
Danielle discovered Keene State College growing up, as it was close to her home town of Richmond, NH and her grandfather was a professor here several years ago.
That sense of familiarity and community significantly contributed to Danielle’s success as a KSC student and to her continuing success in the healthcare field.
After graduation, Danielle was accepted into a dietetic internship at the Cleveland Clinic. Upon graduating from the internship, she successfully completed an exam to become a Registered Dietitian. Most recently, Danielle has taken on the role of Senior Health Coach for a start-up wellness company and also teaches nutrition courses to first and second year medical school students.
Danielle credits her extracurricular activities and the guidance she received from her KSC professors with her career track. “Through my involvement in Keene State’s Student Dietetic Association and Health Science Honor Society, and with individualized support from professors, I learned to become a leader in my profession,” she says.
Danielle continues to step outside of her comfort zone as a way to learn and grow beyond the expectation. But she doesn’t walk alone. Danielle says, “We have a strong support system long after walking across the stage at graduation.”
