Dr. Jan Youga joined the faculty at Keene State College after teaching English Education at a large, public state university in the Midwest for five years and then spending four years as Director of Writing at Gordon College, a small, private liberal arts school on the North Shore of Boston. She applied to Keene State because she wanted to return to public school teaching but also wanted the smaller college atmosphere. KSC also afforded her the opportunity to teach both English and Education courses, as well as to expand her interests in the ancient world through biblical and rhetorical studies.
