Dr. Kirsti A. Sandy

Kirsti Sandy is a Professor of English at Keene State College, where she chairs the department of English and teaches courses in creative nonfiction,memoir writing, expository writing, and rhetorical theory.

Dr. Sandy's scholarship includes nonfiction in Under the Gum Tree, A Prick of the Spindle, Split Lip, the Flexible Persona, Barnstorm, The Boiler: A Journal of New Literature, BioStories Magazine, Anthem Journal and Freshly Hatched: the journal of Freerange Nonfiction. She has also published articles and reviews in Teaching Writing Teachers, Preparing Teachers of Writing, WPA: Writing Program Administration, and Deprivatized Pedagogy. She has also co-authored, with Phyllis Benay, The Guide to Writing: A New Way of Thinking About College Writing and Research. With Mark Long, she is the co-editor of Strigidae: A Journal of Undergraduate Writing in the Arts and Humanities.
