Dr. Brian Christopher Kanouse
Dr. Kanouse specializes in the study of self-development in his social and philosophical research. This work led him to create the Summer Momentum (SUMO) Program, which is a six week living/learning community during the first session of Summer semester that places a strong emphasis on self-identity and decision making. Through engaging students through journal writing, in class discussion, film analysis, volunteering, and a unique YMCA ropes course overnight, Dr. Kanouse provides students with the chance to learn the critical skills necessary for succeeding at Keene State College. Students can expect to see a rise in their GPA's, to gain the confidence needed to choose a major and envision their future career, as well as gain a deeper understanding of themselves. As program director, Brian participates both in and out of the classroom with the students in order to fully facilitate engaged learning. For enrollment into the program, or more information, please contact Dr. Kanouse through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 603-903-4763.
