Academic Honor Society Enrichment Funding Requests

Purpose: The purpose of funding is to promote an intellectual environment in which students extend the reach of their academic experiences.

Enrichment activities are defined by the mission of each academic honor society. However, there must be an academic component for any activity or event to be funded. Individual or society projects that are funded must be related to the discipline.

Criteria for requesting enrichment funding:

  1. Consideration is given to projects that show potential of promoting academic excellence and enhancing the academic dimensions of the College.
  2. Objectives of the activity or event must be identified.
  3. Benefits for students must be identified.
  4. The proposal must be signed by an advisor and the president of the honor society making the request.
  5. The proposal may be from an individual honor society, from the Council of Academic Honor Societies, or may be a joint proposal from two or more honor societies.
  6. An itemized budget must be included with the proposal.

Deadlines: Proposals will be reviewed by the Academic Enrichment Funding Committee four times during the academic year on the following deadline schedule:

  • during the fall semester - the first Fridays in October and November
  • during the spring semester – the first Fridays in February and March
