Global Education Office
"These photos display Alicante's largest and most popular festival: "Las Hogueras" or "The Bonfires". People from all over the world come to revel in these massive, elaborate, beautiful, artistic structures - a prime example of global engagement and citizenship. Then, they watch as these structures are burned to the ground in a representation of "a new beginning.” Photo by Haley Chandler who studied in Spain.
