AEC Proposal Process & Guidelines
October 2007 Students should begin working with their faculty/staff sponsor(s) to develop a proposal for the Academic Excellence Conference. November 2007 Students should download the AEC Proposal Template - and related documents - and use Microsoft Word to complete the form. Updated documents for 2008 are below. December 5, 2007 Hard copies of initial sponsor approved and signed proposals must be submitted to Donna Hinz (Hale Building, 2nd floor) no later than 5 PM, December 5, 2007. December 7, 2007 The Academic Excellence Conference Committee will review submitted proposals. January 11, 2008 Student and faculty/staff sponsors will be notified of proposal status by January 11, 2008. February 1, 2008 All ACCEPTED proposals need to be submitted electronically in a Word document and single-spaced to Donna Hinz (dhinz@keene.edu) AND cc’d to your sponsor by February 1st, 2008. February 6, 2008 All proposals needing REVISIONS must be resubmitted electronically in a Word document and single-spaced to Donna Hinz (dhinz@keene.edu) AND cc’d to your sponsor by Wednesday, February 6, 2008. February 15, 2008 Students who resubmitted will be notified as to whether their proposal has been accepted no later than Friday, February 15, 2008. February 27, 2008 Presenters’ Meeting at 6 p.m. in the Mountain View Room. Mandatory meeting for all students presenters. Students review and approve all information related to presentations; media request forms filled out; presentation information handed out; poster boards picked up. March 38, 2008 MEDIA DOWNLOAD! Science Center, 4:00-6:00 p.m.: Students report to assigned room for presentation to download powerpoints and to test compatibility of presentations with equipment.
