spacer spacer Second Round Match Instructions

Thank you for your interest in the Keene State College Dietetic Internship – Distance Clinical Track, second round selection process. Please review the requirements and forms in the distance clinical section of this website.

Please be aware, this is not a full distance internship. Distance clinical interns must move to the Keene, NH area from September to May and then will move back to their home community for the clinical rotation in late May.

We are glad to review your application. Please do not apply or reapply unless you meet the following criteria:

  • DPD GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Strong and demonstrated interest in community nutrition education and wellness
  • Excellent references
  • Our interns need to be organized, flexible and self-directed

If we already have your DICAS application and portfolio from the 1st round match for our local internship track and you wish to be considered for the distance clinical track:

  • Please review the distance clinical track guidelines.
  • Locate a clinical placement and RD preceptor who meet our criteria.
  • Submit the additional paperwork to us (preceptor information form and preceptor agreement form).
  • Your additional application materials must be postmarked by April 22nd.
  • You do not need to send a second application fee.
  • Questions about the applications or the distance clinical option for those who were in our 1st round of applications should be submitted to Karen Balnis at kbalnis@keene.edu. Please do not call.

If you were not in our DICAS application pool from the 1st round and wish to be considered for the distance clinical track:

  • Please review the distance clinical track guidelines.
  • Locate a clinical placement and RD preceptor who meet our criteria.
  • Submit your application via DICAS to Keene State College by 8am on April 22nd.
  • Mail your $70 application fee, supplemental application form, preceptor information form and preceptor agreement form to:

    • Keene, NH 03435
  • Your supplemental application materials must be postmarked by April 22nd.
  • You do not need to include a portfolio as required in the first round match, it is optional.
  • Questions about the applications or the distance clinical option for new applicants should be submitted to Karen Balnis at kbalnis@keene.edu. Please do not call unless otherwise instructed.
