Our graduates are working in a variety of settings including: clinical dietetics, outpatient counseling, private practice, long-term care, Dairy Council, WIC, Cooperative Extension, schools and research, and many more. Therese Way, RD Community and Food Service Dietitian The internship at Keene allowed me to explore areas of nutrition I was interested in, opened my eyes to areas I had not even considered and pushed me to grow not only as a dietitian, but also as a person. I felt more than prepared to interview for jobs; I knew I had experiences to talk about. Athena Hall, RD Clinical Dietitian This program was a very exhilarating experience; it not only prepared me for a career in dietetics in various ways, but also helped me to grow as a whole person by allowing the flexibility to succeed. Robert Hoechster, RD Clinical Dietitian I found the internship to offer a wide variety of possible experiences within each rotation. I was able to explore areas of personal interest such as sustainable dietary practices, agriculture, and wild edible plants. ![]() Cary Houghton, RD Clinical Dietitian We are encouraged at Keene State to think "outside the box" which is very important. Alison Thomas, RD Clinical Dietitian I feel I have developed a professional demeanor and excellent communications skills. Keene State has introduced me to new aspects of nutrition. Christine Rueffert, RD Clinical Dietitian I feel that this program allows the intern time to adjust to what a "real" working environment is like and what the expectations of your employer will be when you enter the work force. This is a really independent internship but has the benefit of having very supportive and inspiring staff. Sarah Platt, RD Nutrition Educator The job that I have requires me to work in a wide range of areas from health professionals to the media to dairy farmers and people of all ages. I feel that it was my varied internship experiences that qualified me for this job. ![]() |
