Eligibility Check for Student Teaching

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75*
  • Minimum GPA of 2.50 in declared Liberal Arts major o
  • Minimum GPA of 2.50 in Program Option courses
  • C or better in all Program Option courses
  • No “1s” can be received on any applicable EPP and/or program-specific Final Field Experience Evaluations from Methods II, completed by instructor
  • No “1s” can be received on the Dispositions Assessment form from Methods II completed by instructor
  • Evidence of discipline specific content knowledge, as verified by program (implemented Fall 2017)**
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75*
  • Minimum GPA of 2.50 in declared Content major
  • Minimum GPA of 2.50 in EDUC and EDSP courses
  • C or better in all EDUC and EDSP courses

NOTE *Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher with minimum of 12 KSC credits required of KSC students declared prior to 2014-15 catalog.

Specific Program Criterion:

-Early Childhood: Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Program Option and Specialization 2 courses

-Elementary Ed: Passing scores on the subject specific tests required by NH for certification (e.g. Praxis II Multi Subjects and Foundations of Reading).

-Secondary Education, English: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Content Major

-Secondary Education, Mathematics: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Content Major

-Secondary Education, Modern Language: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Content Major

-Secondary Education, Sciences: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Content Major

-Secondary Education, Social Studies: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Content Major

-Dance Education: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Content Major for Elementary Education students and minimum GPA of 2.50 in declared Content minor for Early Childhood, Specialization 2 students

-Music Education: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Major

-Physical Education: Minimum GPA of 2.5 in declared Major
