Keene State College support students as they progress through their academic program(s) to ensure the timely completion of academic requirements and the appropriate progression through their selected Educator Preparation program.
Decision Points for Undergraduate Initial Certification Programs determine academic eligibility for Admission to Educator Preparation , enrollment in clinical field placement courses and recommendation for endorsement for NH certification.
Students interested in Educator Preparation apply for Admission to Educator Preparation ( Decision Point 1 ) and their continued progress is monitored through Decision Points 2 through 5.
Keene State College Educator Preparation programs require students to complete a series of incrementally challenging field experiences from observation and analysis to full responsibility for the professional role. KSC faculty and cooperating professionals from the field collaborate to ensure that pre-service teachers develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to help all students learn.
Students admitted to Educator Preparation and who have successfully passed Decision Points 2-5 are then recommended for endorsement for certification to the New Hampshire Department of Education.
