Prior to submitting your online proposal for the Academic Excellence Conference, please follow these steps:
Develop your proposal under the direction of a mentor. Please refer to the proposal guidelines. You will also need to choose the discipline(s) most closely related to your proposal and select your presentation format.
Attend one of the Abstract Workshops. They will be held on November 6th and 7th at 6:00 pm in the Mountain View Room. Students will have the chance to hear about the application and review process. In addition, a member of the AEC Review Committee will be available to review and discuss your draft abstract.
Because abstracts will be available on-line the AEC 2014 program will not include printed versions of the abstracts. Rather, this year we are asking each student to compose a sentence of no more than 50 words that describes the presentation/project, explains the importance of the work to the discipline, and briefly summarizes how this work would be of interest to a college wide audience.
