Academic Excellence Conference
Saturday, March 31, 2012 Welcome to the 12th Annual Academic Excellence Conference (AEC), a shared commitment between Academic and Student Affairs in support of student academic enhancement and success. The AEC is sponsored by the Academic Enrichment Program, the Student Center Office of Programs and Leadership Development, the Keene State College Student Assembly and the President’s Office.. This event brings together student scholars and their families, faculty and staff mentors, other members of the KSC community, area legislators, university trustees, and members of the Keene community in celebration of academic research and other forms of scholarship.
KSC Photo/Audio/Video ReleaseFrom time to time, KSC uses photos and/or audio/video of participants at College events for promotional and educational purposes. By virtue of your attendance, you agree to the use of your likeness in such materials, including print and/or electronic media without further notification or authorization. Goals of the ConferenceThe Academic Excellence Conference has several goals. The College wants students who are producing excellent work to be given the opportunity to share that work with a broad audience. Another goal is to help students prepare for submitting proposals for presentation at academic and professional conferences. In revising and resubmitting proposals students have the opportunity to engage in a common professional practice. Finally, a major goal is for students to work very closely with their faculty or staff mentors. The process allows for students to hone their skills in crafting abstracts, revising them if needed, developing and fine-tuning their presentations, and actually presenting their work in an academic environment. Recipients of undergraduate research grants are required to present at the conference. |
