Job Description

The HR Coordinator is responsible for obtaining all necessary paperwork to process newly hired employees in the payroll system, reviewing benefits with employees, administering the online benefits enrollment system, and facilitating data entry for payroll and benefit changes. Assists the Director, with implementation of the hospitals compensation and benefit programs. Responsible for tracking and processing leave of absence requests, completing benefit and compensation surveys and responsible for completion and submission of various regulatory reports. Prepares for annual retirement plan audits and works with audit firm during the tax preparation process and plan review. Acts as liaison between the Hospital, workers compensation vendor and injured worker. Coordinates online data submission of work-related injury reports and all claim follow-up documentation on the vendor website, as well as managing work-related incident follow-up on the hospital incident reporting system (Quantros). Coordinates with the Occupational Health Nurse to identify reportable injuries, assures such injuries are reported timely and accurately and that all required injury logs and reports are appropriately posted and/or filed. Provides accurate Human Resource policy/procedure related information to internal and external customers. Assist Director, with policy updates. Cross-trained as backup for recruitment and web-based orientation/mandatory education system. Bachelors Degree or relevant experience in Human Resources or Employee Benefits Administration preferred, 2-4 years recent benefits experience, preferably in a Human Resource Healthcare setting. Experience with collaborative negotiations a plus. PHR or CEBS a plus.
