Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist
UIC Technical Services is hiring for a Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) Specialist to provide support and direction for subsidiary companies and client sites. The HSE Specialist administers the safety compliance and inspection program, provides training, and interacts at all levels with both direct and indirect authority. The HSE Specialist will perform post accident investigation and reporting as well as the implementation of post loss control procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate comprehensive HSE knowledge, have relevant experience and the proven ability to provide effective safety support. The HSE Specialist may also perform various administrative and logistical support duties as assigned.
*Basic knowledge of the following subject matter areas:
*Substance Abuse testing and procedures
*Workers Compensation claims handling
*EM 385-1-1 (USACE Regulations)
*Must have OSHA 30 card or OSHA Outreach Trainer
*Experience with Windows/Microsoft Products
Associates Degree (Preferred) and 5 years as Loss Control, Compliance Inspector or Safety Trainer, or equivalent education and experience.
