Project Engineer (Mechanical)
Our client, an exciting, international design and manufacturing company, located near Sanford, Maine is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering and drafting efforts for assigned mechanical design projects.
Responsible for managing engineering project plans, milestones and scheduling from prototype through test to final fabrication, including documentation, technical support and final QA check. Work with major international architecture firms to target the sports industry.
Experience with 3D parametric modeling software (e.g., Inventor or SolidWorks) is required. Design and manufacturing experience with structural steel, plywood, sheet steel stamping and forming, welding is strongly preferred. Basic electrical knowledge. Proficient with stress strain calculations and structural analysis.
Working knowledge of structural design specifications and building codes. Ability to develop project plans, measure work progress and manage projects to successful completion.
BSME with three to five years related engineering experience is required. This is a great opportunity for an EIT looking for the support of Professional Engineers and the Company to obtain your PE License. In addition, the Company provides training and offers significant growth potential.
Some domestic and international travel is required. (5 - 10%)
