Public Health Network Coordinator
The full-time Public Health Network Coordinator is responsible for working with a variety of private, public, municipal, regional and State stakeholders to oversee and coordinate public health, disaster response and emergency preparedness in Strafford County.
Candidate must possess excellent facilitation and organizational skills, outstanding attention to detail, coordinate and implement trainings, drills and exercises in accordance with Federal, State and Local needs related to emergency preparedness.
Successful candidate will be able to provide technical assistance, training and coordination to municipal, County, and medical stakeholders, emergency responders and agencies serving vulnerable populations. Developing work plans, policies and protocols is required. Communications, using multiple mediums including print, social media, website development and e-newsletters is required.
The Public Health Network Coordinator is also responsible for attending State technical assistance trainings and reviews as identified by the State contract, prepare detailed work plans for Strafford County communities, assist in grant writing, program development, implementation and evaluation and other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred) in Public Health, Fire Sciences, Health and Human Services, or Emergency Management required, plus five year experience working in Public Health, Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Response or Emergency Services. Experience in Center for Disease Control and Prevention strategies to enact public health improvement plans desired. Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation (HSEEP) certified preferred.
This is a grant funded position.
Funding is secured through June 30, 2015 with the ability to reapply for continued funding. Deadline to apply: December 30, 2013.
