Supevisor - EHS Compliance
Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:
Supervises a team in ensuring that operating units are in compliance with a variety of federal, state and local safety and industrial hygiene laws, regulations and permits. Includes licensing, and compliance with all safety and industrial hygiene related laws, regulations, and other applicable requirements.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
- Oversees staff in ensuring operating units are in compliance with all appropriate local, state and federal regulations. Supervises Compliance Programs and Departmental Personnel to support and ensure overall Company compliance with all applicable safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, and compliance training related laws, regulations, standards, license conditions and best management practices.
- Provides consultative services to internal staff and external clients. Reviews site inspections and company audits.
- Assists in the investigation and remediation of the Companys work related incidents, as well as the monitoring and investigation of significant injuries and accidents including fatalities. Track, report, and plan improvements to the Companys performance on safety and health related matters. Performs statistical analysis and modeling. Assists in preparing regulatory compliance reports to management.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of experience in safety and health-related compliance, regulatory or legal area OR Associates Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in safety and health-related compliance, regulatory or legal area.
Certification in safety or industrial hygiene desired.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficient technical writing & communication.
Strong project management and negotiation skills.
Able to work multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
