ASSESSING THE WHOLE: STUDENT LIFE AND ACADEMICS

Keynote Speaker: Marilee Bresciani, a Professor of Postsecondary Education Leadership at San Diego State University, where she coordinates the certificate in institutional research, planning, and assessment, and the doctorate in community college/postsecondary education leadership. The curriculum at San Diego State University emphasizes the integration of the curricular and co-curricular learning paradigms, and analysis, planning, and responsible practice of leaders in a socially just and global environment.

The Forum sessions represent an array of institutions from across New England and will focus on key issues in higher education assessment, including topics on Student life as well as :

II Workshop

The first of two Interdisciplinary Studies Workshops organized by the ISP's II Subcommittee will be held on Friday, October 28 from 2-3:30pm.

Workshop will be "INTERDISCIPLINARY TEACHING." Participants will offer reflections on & discuss their experiences in II-courses with respect to Course Development, Syllabus Development & Assignment Planning as way of contributing to a Subcommittee's current document in progress, "II@5."

We look forward to hearing from instructors who are currently teaching II courses as well as those who have made contributions in the past.

The Workshop will also provide faculty currently developing II courses with an opportunity to inquire about INTERDISCIPLINARY TEACHING in II.
